Good Faith Estimates for Uninsured and Self-Pay Patients
If you do not have health insurance, or if you have health insurance but choose not to use it for services at Pioneer Valley Psychiatry, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected charges for your care.
A Good Faith Estimate is available when you schedule care and may also be requested before scheduling. The estimate is based on the services reasonably expected at the time it is prepared. Your actual treatment needs may change, and an updated estimate may be provided if the anticipated course of treatment changes.
If you receive a bill from Pioneer Valley Psychiatry that is at least $400 more than the expected charges listed in your Good Faith Estimate, you may have the right to use the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.
